The ideal seasons for sowing grass seed are typically spring and autumn. During these periods, soil and air temperatures are warm, and natural rainfall is frequent, creating optimal conditions for seed germination and successful grass establishment.
Overseeding is particularly effective for lawns that appear thin, weak, or sparsely populated. Introducing new grass seeds helps thicken these areas before issues worsen, ensuring healthy growth. Moreover, by consistently adding new seeds, old and worn-out grass is gradually replaced, maintaining the overall health and robustness of the lawn.
TRADITIONAL FERTILIZATION
Organic matter and fertilizers are an ideal complement. Between these two elements, the ideal environment is created for a good cationic exchange process, allowing the absorption of essential nutrients in the roots of the grass.
SUNTOWER offers a complete Fertilization Plan, using granular-type fertilizers, rich in macronutrients (N-P-K) essential for the good physiological functioning of the lawn.
Our fertilization package is scheduled in three applications. The first, in spring to promote the foliar growth of the grass; The second application in summer, for maintenance; And finally, a third application in autumn, to strengthen the root system and prepare the grass for the arrival of winter.

The application of the organic herbicide (Fiesta) aims to control the excessive growth of broadleaf weeds, thereby promoting healthy grass growth.
Our Weed Control plan is carried out in three stages. The first application is made in May, the second application in June, and finally, the third application of organic herbicide is done in September.
It's important to note that this type of control does not entirely eradicate the presence of weeds, as new seeds continue to spread and germinate, attempting to colonize the area.

Chinch Bug & Grub Control
Our technicians aim to keep the grass ecosystem balanced. With this in mind, SUNTOWER developed a preventive control strategy for pests that may occur throughout the season.
Through two applications of biological insecticides based on microorganisms such as Bacillus thuringiensis or Beauveria bassiana, SUNTOWER aims to reduce the population growth of pest insects such as Chinch Bugs, Grubs, and others, ensuring their numbers remain below the damage threshold.
The biological insecticide can be applied at any time during the season; however, it is recommended to start the treatment in June when temperatures increase and environmental conditions favor the multiplication of insects.
The objective of preventive control is not the complete eradication of pest insects, as these organisms are a natural part of the ecosystem. Field experiments have demonstrated that preventive measures can reduce the population of pest insects by 60%.

Lawn Mowing
With a team of trained technicians and the use of specialized tools, SUNTOWER ensures precise cuts that not only enhance the aesthetics of your lawn but also promote its healthy growth.
Our mowing service is performed once a week from May to October. Generally, we schedule the cutting routes according to garbage collection days to facilitate the disposal of organic waste produced while carrying out the work.
Although grass cuts are done weekly, exceptions to grass cutting include rainy days, as working on wet soil can destroy the grass, and periods of water stress, commonly experienced during the summer. By avoiding cuts under these circumstances, we allow the grass to increase foliage, strengthen its roots, and stay healthy. On days when our technical staff decides not to carry out mowing the grass, all clients will be promptly notified.
